Hello! I am Stephanie, the lady behind the lens. I absolutely love every aspect of photography. My camera is always with me and I just love capturing all those little moments that often go unnoticed. I am so glad that you found Your Life Photography and hope to work with you!

I am so in love with my two children, Mason and Wylee. Sundays are my favorite day of any week, when we are all together in our PJ’s, watching movies, cooking breakfast, and just enjoying our time together. My son is truly a gift from heaven, with an imagination that will change the world one day. My daughter was born camera ready! I cannot wait to capture them as they grow.

The name Your Life Photography came to me when I realized that I wanted to capture “Your Life” as you are, and I hope to do just that. I love all of the minute details of life, whether it’s a look between lovers, toes of a newborn, or the way a dog licks their owners face… A picture truly is worth a thousand words!

A quick background: I grew up in Mount Clemens, Michigan and graduated from Ross Medical School for medical assisting. I worked in the medical field for over 5 years, but always felt like something was missing. So I decided to hang up the stethoscope and pick up the camera. I’d like to think of myself as a free spirit, always searching for something. My children drive my passion and determination to be something great. Most days you will find me at home, chasing them with my phone or camera.

I have always been a photography lover, but my passion started when I received my first camera on my sixth birthday, and it’s been love ever since. I must have gone through hundreds of rolls of film. My love for photography continued into early adulthood, where I was always the one wanting to take pictures with my friends. Once my son was born, I went picture crazy; snapping away at everything. So a few years ago I asked my husband for a “big girl camera” for my birthday and haven’t set it down since. I always have my camera in hand and have NEVER been sorry for it. When a friend contacted me, asking me to take pictures of her family, I jumped at the opportunity. With the push from family and friends, I dove head first into photography as a profession. I am entirely self-taught. I have made mistakes, learned new things, lost clients, and gained friendships. I grew as a person and a photographer.

Meeting new people is just one of many perks of the job. Searching for new locations, the sessions themselves, and even the editing where I can revisit the emotions that were felt in a session are my favorite. I am obsessed with the emotions I feel while editing a client’s session. If a photo can bring a tear to my eye, a smile to my face, or a giggle to my belly, then I have done my job. I shoot a variety of styles, but my favorite is lifestyle; anything in the moment. Why am I doing all of this? For the memories. There is no such thing as too many pictures, too many memories. A perfect moment, frozen in time that you will be able to cherish for years to come.

Thank you for checking out my page and be sure to contact me with any questions that you may have! Look forward to hearing from you!
