Our children are our worlds, but they change so quickly. The way they eat their little toes, or the way she hugs your leg, or twirls her hair… that may all be gone tomorrow. Let’s capture them today because those chubby cheeks won’t last forever!
I love shooting little ones. They are who make the world go round. I love chatting, laughing and enjoying the time with them — no matter how shy or sassy they are.
I have had my fair share of moms panic during sessions where their child is not smiling, won’t sit still, or just plain hyper. Do NOT worry, these frazzled times make for the best image. They’re children; that’s what they do. They run, they laugh, they cry, they play… I love to chase, play peek-a-boo, and hear stories about monsters. I want you and your children to leave a shoot in high spirits. If it’s just a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day, let’s reschedule. Because I am a mom of a very particular child and I know there are moments where defeat is the only option. (But I have to add that I have – knock on wood – never had to do this yet) Sometimes those crying fits or that sassy look can make for some amazing photos! No matter what, we will work together and capture your children just the way you had envisioned.
I will work around nap time, breakfast, breastfeeding, lunch time… whatever your children may need. Don’t worry moms and dads; sometimes I need a snack too. I am here to put your mind at ease and I will do anything within my power to rock our session together!
When booking a session I will always encourage mom and dad to jump in some photos, whether it’s just your toes splashing in a puddle or if you want to be in all the pictures. Let the whole bunch get together and create some awesome memories!
For family sessions, I like to get a variety of different shots. I setup posed and candid shots with the whole group, each child individually, sibling shots, pictures of mom and dad with each child, and just mom and dad together. I hope to capture the photos that you hang in your home and can be cherished forever.
Personally, I wish I had more photographs of me and my family growing up. Your children are not going to care that you didn’t sleep the night before because you were working, the new color of your hair that you’re not so sure about, or that pimple that popped up out of nowhere because at the end of the day they won’t notice those things. They will have memories they can look back on forever. Trust me, you won’t regret it! Your little ones are changing everyday but the photos will stay for a lifetime.
Family and children sessions include TWO outfits (time permitting) for all your little ones.
