So you’ve found the one? Congratulations! Getting married is a pretty big deal, and those moments that come with it are as well. “Why do I need engagement pictures when I’m having pictures taken at my wedding?” Well, here’s what I think:
1. Let me capture that moment of “OH MY GOD! HE IS GETTING DOWN ON ONE KNEE!” for her, because, let’s face it, there aren’t very many surprises left in life… Why not give her a memory she will never forget and be able to share with family and friends for years to come. Men, it also gives her the chance to show off that gorgeous ring you saved three months for, because TRUST ME, you paid for it, you want her to show it off!
2. The fact that it is just nice to have some beautiful pictures of you and your lover in a non-bridal appearance. Because we all love how he wears his hat backwards, or how his face looks after he hasn’t shaved for three days. Capturing yourselves just how you fell in love with each other.
3. Perfect photographs for save-the-dates, wedding announcements, and thank you cards from your shower!
4. The Bridal Shower: I know, “why would I have pictures taken here?” the answer is simple. Let me take away the stress of making sure someone got a picture of the cake, or aunt Lori who came all the way from Germany to be there for your big moments. I got it! I will capture all the little details from centerpieces, broken bows, and kisses between you and your loved ones who are there to share the day with you.
Engagement and proposals are a personal favorite of mine to shoot. I will work with you and your loved one to find the perfect location to capture the love between the two of you! Maybe you want sunset snuggles, in the city sipping coffee where you meet, or just a simple lifestyle session at your home cooking breakfast.
