Lifestyle photography is something very special and dear to me. A lifestyle session is YOUR LIFE, in the raw. I will enter your home, snapping away at your family as you go about your day. I will capture the little details that you may not always notice, but are what makes your house a home. I want to create a photo that will bring back every emotion you felt as you bathed your little one, that stolen kiss between you and your husband in the kitchen, or the way the dog sits on the couch staring out the window for hours. Let me capture the details we all take for granted.
After entering your home we will chat for a few, take a tour, and get acquainted and comfortable. I’ll take some test shots and start snapping away as we talk. Although this session is mainly about candid moments, I will do a few posed shots if you’d like.
Lifestyle sessions are me being a fly on the wall, capturing your day-to-day activities. I have photographed children playing trucks, bedtime, bath time, story-time, playing tag, catch with your dog, Christmas morning. If you have something in mind that you would like captured, just ask! The possibilities of this session are endless!
I know what you’re thinking, “why pay someone to take pictures of what I can take myself?” Because as a mom I realized I am always the one taking the pictures, but never in them. I want to give everyone the chance to be present, and have photographs as life happens on life’s terms. Of course, those posed shoots with perfect outfits are adorable and lots of fun, but these are the moments that are truly cherished.
